Are you searching for direction, desiring clarity, or seeking common ground?
All my career, I’ve been drawn to situations where groups are searching for direction, desiring clarity, seeking common ground and mobilizing together to take action. This focus resonates hugely with me. All my siblings are in “helping professions” and I was raised with an orientation towards creating positive change within the communities around me.
Even in my personal life, it’s my natural orientation. For example, if I’m with a group of friends who are trying to decide where to go to dinner, I tend to hang back at first, let people voice points of view and then pull it together for the group.
I do the same thing as a facilitator for my clients. I’m like an orchestra conductor, pulling the various players and instruments together to create great music. Like the conductor, I bring the various players together and help them create something bigger and more impactful than they could accomplish on their own.
